October 2010

October 2010

Fundamentals students learned how to draw using contour line and how to measure human proportion. They used these two skills to draw their classmates.

Then they used their skills to create cut paper people.

Painting 1 students are working on a still-life series. They are painting one realistically and two more as a color scheme change or abstractions or morphs. We are still working on these so you will have to wait until November to see the finished products.

Drawing 1 students practiced shading in pencil and then drew and shaded a stuffed animal.

At the end of one class, each table had to create a sculpture out of their kneaded eraser before handing it in.

Drawing 2 students are working on a still-life in colored pencil or chalk pastels.

Art Club created clay medallions. One to keep and one to sell as an Art fundraiser. We will be selling medallions at lunch later in November.
