April / May 2012

Sculpture 2 worked on teapots this month.  See the finished result below.

Sculpture 3 worked on sculptures, see the Picasso head and Giraffe head below.

Sculpture 1 finished up their inlay vases with some very nice results.

Then sculpture 1 started on their head sculptures.  They had the option of creating an issue piece or combining 2 creatures or creating an expressive face.

Here are a few final results, more to come later.

Sculpture 1 is also learning how to throw on the wheel.  Great fun and mess!

Drawing 1 students are working on a paper cut out piece.

A finished result, more to come later.

Drawing 1 just finished grid portraits.  They used multiple media choices in each rectangle.

Drawing 2-4 worked on individual projects.

Sculpture 3's Amy is casting her own hands and feet.
Fundamentals of Art learned about facial proportion, drawing facial features and shading faces in a variety of media.

They then moved on to human proportion and after doing some contour line drawings on classmates they worked from a photo to create a cut paper person in proportion.
